São Paulo’s Anniversary

Lucianos, Yaras and Soufiyansmove São Paulo.

For São Paulo’s anniversary in 2020, we made three films for 99, the ride-hailing app, through Eyxo Content Agency, all with the same identity and the same format. Each one opens with a brand line, “people move São Paulo”, and the first word gives way to the name of whoever is telling the story.

Ana and Luciano met at Praça Roosevelt and got married there. Nay and Yara show their city, from Bixiga to Ibirapuera. Soufiyan was born in Morocco, has lived in Brazil for four years, drives for 99 and finds in Brás a place that feels like home.

I was the director of photography on all three films, directed by Tyrone Rodovalho.
