Short documentary · SXSW 2020
O futuro que não aconteceu
We were looking for a futurethat never happened.
In March 2020 I was already in the United States for SXSW in Austin, Texas, the world's biggest event on innovation, technology and the creative economy. Days before it opened, for the first time in 34 years, the festival was cancelled because of the pandemic.
I took the chance to document the festival that never happened. With a crew of two, from Eyxo Content Agency and White Rabbit, we went around the city talking to the people who were there: from small business owners to the organizers, from those taking down their booths to those inventing ways to keep the city going.
The film came out on April 8, 2020, about a month after the cancellation.
